A Vote For Lois is a Vote For Ponce Inlet
Advocating For Our Residents Since 2015
In Ponce Inlet
Residents, staff members and her fellow Councilmembers know they can always count on her to be thoroughly prepared and well versed on the issues before Council. Regarded as an expert in many areas of municipal procedure, she engages with our residents, leaders of our business community and the Town’s staff when revisions to our codes and ordinances are proposed and implemented.
Lois is a strong advocate of citizen participation at all levels throughout our community. In 2020, she led the drive to create the Essential Service Board [ESB]. This non-quasi judicial review board provides our residents and our staff the opportunity to be heard on a wide range of issues before they reach Council.
In Tallahassee
In addition to voting in our own Town Council election each year, we also cast our ballots for our State Senators and Florida House Representatives. Over the years, our leaders in Tallahassee have come to know Lois as a partner as well as an advocate. She works in a collaborative effort to protect our interests and focuses on those issues that have the greatest impact on our community.
An effective, successful and time tested advocate of Home Rule, Lois has demonstrated her ability to effectively communicate and work with our legislators in Tallahassee on issues such as short-term rentals and commercial land development. Lois serves on the Advocacy Committee of the Florida League of Cities.
